PM Garib Kalyan Ann Yojana 2020-21 – 10 Kg Ration + 1 Kg Pulses Free.
Each of those individuals will get 5 kg of rice or wheat-free per month for the next three months, in addition to the 5 kg they already get. This means that for the next three months each family will now receive 10 Kg Ration, along with 1 kg Dal of their choice, completely free of cost. The FM has also ensured that during lockdown there will be no shortage of food supplies and critical goods.
Medical Insurance to Paramedic / Nurses / Asha Workers & Others fighting COVID 19
FM Nirmala Sitharaman also declared Rs. 50 lakh medical benefits each for those people battling with COVID 19 on the frontline. This portion includes paramedics, nurses, ASHA staff and those who help people in the Coronavirus war. The PMGKY scheme would benefit approximately 22 lakh people from Rs. 50 lakh medical insurance.
Rs. 2,000 DBT for Farmers under PM-KISAN Scheme
The Core Govt. The first installment of Rs. 2,000 will be deposited in the bank accounts of each of the 8,69 crore farmers using the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mode. This initiative will commence from 1 April 2020 under the auspices of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana.
MGNREGA Workers Wage Raised
Core Govt. Under Mahatma Gandhi Rural Job Guarantee Act (MGNREGA), approves Rs. 202 wage increase for employees (Rs. 202 from Rs. 182). The center will continue this initiative created by the MGNREGA Worker’s wage by offering an additional Rs. 2,000 to the daily wage workers. Five crore families will benefit from the MNREGA wage rise.
Ex-Gratia to Old Age / Widow / Disabled
For senior citizens over 60, widows and people with disabilities, govt. Provide Rs 1000 ex gratia in two installments. About 3 crore poor people will benefit from this initiative.
Free Cylinders to PM Ujjwala Yojana Beneficiaries
Under Ujjwala Yojana the Pradhan Mantri, govt. Free cylinders to 8.3 crores below poverty line (BPL) families will be given for 3 months.
Govt. to Pay EPF Contribution for Employer & Employee (Organized Sector)
The Core Govt. Need to ensure money in hand and capital for the structured sector in Provident Fund Accounts. Hence the federal govt. The EPF fee will now be payable to both employer and employee. In establishments where up to 100 people are working, that will be about 24 percent for the next 3 months. In fact, about 90 percent of the employee receives less than Rs. 15,000 a month.
